The 27-year-old joined Bath in February in order to complete his rehabilitation for a ruptured Achilles, but has now committed to the West Country outfit, turning down suitors from rugby league RugbyPass understands.

He has signed initially on a one-year deal, with the option to extend until 2026.

Despite being in rugby union for over a year now, Grace is yet to play a competitive game due to his Achilles injury.

The injury occurred initially in 2022 while still with St Helens in rugby league. He joined Racing 92 later that year, but suffered an injury setback soon after joining.

Grace was released by the Top 14 outfit at the end of last season, but was picked up by Bath, where he has gone on to play in two friendly fixtures after returning from injury.

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan said: “Regan has impressed both on and off the pitch over the last few months.
